Certain sections of the beach are nudist beach only and are signposted, and this also includes areas restricted for dogs. Relax in a “Strandkorb” (beach chair invented nearby in Warnemünde in 1882) and watch the children building sand castles and bathing on the gently sloping beach, or play beach soccer or volleyball.

Kühlungsborn's many cycle rentals enable you to discover the beautiful landscape by bike, and if you prefer to ride a horse, there are many horse trails around the area that make this a possibility, too. Organized bike, walking, and horse riding tours are available all year round, and on the cultural side, there are exhibitions, concerts and cabaret from January to December. These events are much appreciated by the locals as
